Broken Beach, also known as Pasih Uwug, is a prominent natural landmark on the island of Nusa Penida renowned for its big natural pool and an impressive archway. Visitors can sometimes spot manta rays swimming into the secluded pool. Surrounded by high cliffs and rocky shores, the large archway that defines provides an excellent backdrop for memorable photos.
The Perfect Photo
For the best photos, head to the cliffs surrounding the archway during the early morning or late afternoon when lighting conditions are optimal. A wide-angle lens can capture the expansive rock formations and the archway in one frame. A drone can also provide unique aerial shots showcasing the entire landscape. Be careful if you fly the drone at noon as it can overheat quicky in the heat of the sun and produce lower quality photos.
