Marzamemi is renowned for its ancient Tonnara, a tuna processing plant that dates back to the 16th century. While it's no longer in operation, the Tonnara has been beautifully preserved and now serves as a cultural and historical site. Definitely buy some Tuna as it is really good.
For those who love the sea, Marzamemi won't disappoint. The village is surrounded by beautiful beaches. Spiaggia di San Lorenzo and Spiaggia di Calamosche are two nearby favorites, perfect for a relaxing day of sunbathing and swimming.
Marzamemi is best reached by car. The town is small so parking is limited and there will be many day tourists coming to town every day. So better plan a night or two to really experience the town.
